I'm Luka

Who am I? I am a mother, sister, daughter, coffee addict, old timey music lover, pink fancier, floral designing, dog (and any animal really) obsessed midwife & lifestyle photographer based in sunny Brisbane, QLD.

As long as I can remember, I have always loved photographing people, animals and objects. I even started an instagram page for my dog, Penelope (although since becoming a big sister, she has taken extended leave from her role). Fast forward to 2021 when I had my son, I was struggling with my new identity and decided to pick up a camera again. From there, I have continued to develop my skills and open my business Images by Luka.

As a registered midwife, and a mother, I find myself gravitating toward motherhood and all the beautiful chaos that comes along with it. I see you in all your raw emotions & my goal is to gently honour this season of your life. I specialise in Maternity, Newborn, Family & Motherhood photography and service North Brisbane & Beyond. I am drawn to details and the in between moments, the pure & honest connection and the love.

I believe photography should be honest, that looking back on your images should evoke real emotion and nostalgia. I want you to look back and feel your images, not just see them. This is why I want to work with you leading up to your session to curate not just the session of your dreams, but a beautiful memory making experience that feels like you and your family. Let's skip the awkward fake smiles and the stress of perfection when perfection does not exist. Let's play in the mud, roll down a hill & chase the seagulls into the sea.
